Frankfurt (Germany), Feb. 3 (LaPresse) – "We will not cooperate with the AfD, neither before, nor after, never."
This was assured by Friedrich Merz, the candidate of the Union (CDU-CSU), in his speech at the CDU congress, which was met with enthusiastic applause from those present.
The AfD, he stated, "opposes everything that our party and our country have built in recent years and decades. It is against Western alliances, the euro, and NATO. That is why we want to do everything possible in this election campaign to make this party as small as possible. It is our most important opponent in this election. We want to turn it into a marginal phenomenon."
