Vienna (Austria), 12 February (LaPresse) – The leader of the far-right Fpö party Herbert Kickl, winner of last year's elections, has informed Austria's President Alexander Van der Bellen that he is renouncing his mandate to form a new government after negotiations with the Austrian People's Party (Övp) failed. Kickl's would have been the first national government led by the extreme right in Austria since World War II. A return to the ballot box is not ruled out at this point.
