Turin, Feb. 15 (LaPresse) – Vladimir Putin must withdraw his army from Ukrainian territories at least to the demarcation line before the 2022 invasion. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Newsmax. Zelensky expressed his belief that U.S. President Donald Trump could put pressure on the Kremlin leader to end the conflict. "Trump can do it, and Europe will help him a lot if he allows it. He is strong. He is smart. He can do it by imposing sanctions on Putin. He can then give us all the help he can," he explained. "Of course, when we talk about a just peace for Ukraine, we understand that we do not have the power to drive them out of all our territory. We must push them out through diplomacy and with our partners, but not to be defeated." Trump "is sure that he will reach an agreement with Putin, and I believe that is the problem. He needs to make a deal, not with Putin, but with us, and then put pressure on Putin. Because we will not accept negotiations that do not involve us," Zelensky added.
