Turin, 25 Feb (LaPresse) – The United States is currently taking a more balanced position to resolve the conflict in Ukraine and perhaps, after contacts between Brussels and Washington, Europe will also move towards greater balance in this issue. This was stated by Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, quoted by Interfax. ‘We see that the US is taking a much more balanced position, which really helps efforts to resolve the conflict around Ukraine. We certainly welcome it, we believe that such a balanced position really speaks of a real desire to contribute to the resolution,’ Peskov told reporters, commenting on the UN Security Council's adoption of the US resolution on Ukraine. “As for the Europeans, of course, the statements being made from Brussels, including those made yesterday by Kiev, do not yet signal a balance,” he added. ‘But based on the results of the contacts between the Europeans and the Americans, perhaps Europe will somehow gravitate towards more balance.’
