Bucharest (Romania), February 26 (LaPresse) – Romania’s presidential candidate, Calin Georgescu, who won the first round in last year’s annulled elections, was stopped by the police during a routine traffic check and taken to the police station for questioning by prosecutors. His team reported this. "Calin Georgescu was about to present his new candidacy for the presidency," his team stated in a post on Facebook. "He was taken for questioning at the Prosecutor General's office." The reason for the interrogation is still unclear, and it is not known if any charges will be brought against him.
