Frankfurt (Germany), Mar 10 (LaPresse) – The German federal government (CDU, CSU and SPD) will talk to the Greens to convince them to accept the billion-dollar financial package for defence and infrastructure and the resulting constitutional amendment of the debt brake. This was said by the general secretary of the Cdu, Carsten Linnemann, after the Greens announced they would not accept the package proposed by the Conservatives and Social Democrats. Linnemann also sees the possibility of an agreement with the Greens, whose vote, together with that of the FDP, would be crucial for the approval of the new measures. ‘There will be talks with the Greens today,’ Linnemann said at a press conference immediately after the Green leadership's statement, adding that the talks must take place in a constructive atmosphere.
