Milan, 10 Mar (LaPresse) – Ahead of tomorrow's talks in Riyadh between the United States and Ukraine, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke with US President Donald Trump to discuss expectations for the meeting. A Downing Street spokesperson said Starmer told Trump ‘that UK officials spoke with Ukrainian officials over the weekend and remain committed to lasting peace’. The British prime minister added that he was ‘hopeful that the talks will have a positive outcome, which will allow for the restart of US aid and intelligence sharing’. The Guardian reports. ‘The two leaders also talked about the economic deal they had discussed at the White House and the prime minister welcomed the detailed conversations that had already taken place to take the matter forward. Both leaders agreed to stay in touch,’ the spokesman added.
