The Hague (Netherlands), 12 Mar (LaPresse) – Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has been handed over to the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC), following his arrest on an arrest warrant accusing him of crimes against humanity for the crackdown on drug trafficking he oversaw while in office. The court announced in a statement that ‘as a precautionary measure’ medical assistance was made available to Duterte at the airport, in line with standard procedures.
