Rome, March 14 (LaPresse) – In their final statement released at the end of the summit held in Canada, the G7 foreign ministers announced that they had "discussed imposing further costs on Russia if a ceasefire" with Ukraine "is not agreed upon." This could include additional sanctions, oil price caps, as well as further support for Ukraine and other measures. The statement also mentions that this "includes the use of extraordinary revenues derived from frozen Russian sovereign assets."
The G7 ministers also urged Russia to "accept a ceasefire" with Ukraine "on equal terms," "fully implement it," and reiterated "their unwavering support for Ukraine in defending its territorial integrity, its right to exist, as well as its freedom, sovereignty, and independence."
