Turin, March 14 (LaPresse) – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met today with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on the sidelines of the G7 Foreign Ministers' meeting. According to a statement from the U.S. State Department, Rubio "emphasized the importance of the solid and lasting partnership between the United States and Italy." Rubio and Tajani "discussed the need to increase burden-sharing among all NATO allies and to bring an end to the Russia-Ukraine war," the statement read. Additionally, "they reaffirmed their shared commitment to addressing a range of global challenges, including balancing trade relations, combating authoritarianism in Venezuela, and stabilizing the situation in the Middle East."
