Rome, 22 Mar. (LaPresse) – Clashes and tensions between demonstrators and police in Istanbul while the city's mayor and main opponent of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Ekrem Imamoglu, is questioned in court. In a video published by the Turkish newspaper Cumhuriyet, a group of lawyers can be seen trying to enter the courthouse but are stopped by the police who forcefully push them back. Tensions also arose at the demonstration organised by the opposition in front of Istanbul City Hall.
