Milan, March 30 (LaPresse) – Providing an updated casualty report, the military junta in power in Myanmar stated in a note released today that around 1,700 people were killed by Friday’s earthquake, about 3,400 were injured, and approximately 300 are missing. Due to unreliable communications, the true scale of the disaster remains unclear, and the death toll is expected to rise significantly. This was reported by The Guardian.
