Beijing (China), 31 Mar. (LaPresse) – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi travelled to Moscow today for talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov. The two are expected to meet tomorrow. China did not mention Ukraine in the announcement of Wang's trip, saying only that the two countries ‘continue to deepen strategic coordination and expand practical cooperation in various fields’, as well as ‘upholding the basic norms governing international relations’. ‘The Chinese side is ready to take this visit as an opportunity to work with the Russian side on international and regional issues of common interest,’ added a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
