Dubai (United Arab Emirates), 31 Mar. (LaPresse) – Suspected US airstrikes hit the rebel-held Yemeni capital Sanaa on Sunday night. The Houthis, supported by Iran, declared that at least one person was killed. The attacks around Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, in the hands of the Houthis since 2014, also injured four other people, said the rebels. Their al-Masirah satellite channel broadcast footage of broken house windows after the bombs exploded, but still did not show the targets of the attacks, suggesting that the sites had a military or intelligence function. An analysis by the Associated Press found that the new US operation against the Houthis under President Donald Trump appears to be more extensive than those under former President Joe Biden, as the US moves from exclusively targeting launch sites to also targeting high-ranking personnel and dropping bombs in cities.
