Rome, 1 Apr. (LaPresse) – ‘The phenomena of racial intolerance, bullying and anti-Semitism in particular are rooted in time and history. Like human stupidity, they are probably ineradicable, but we must try to reduce them’. These were the words of the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio, during a hearing in the Senate's Special Commission for combating intolerance, racism, anti-Semitism and incitement to hatred and violence. Next to him, Liliana Segre, senator for life. ‘Being so close to such a historic icon of freedom and suffering alone would be worth being appointed minister’, emphasised Nordio.
