Turin, 2nd April (LaPresse) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will be in Brussels on 3rd and 4th April to participate in the NATO Foreign Ministers' meeting. The Ministerial will allow for discussion of the main strategic issues for the Organisation, also in view of the NATO Summit in The Hague on 24th-25th June. The head of the Farnesina (the Italian Foreign Ministry) – as stated in a press release – emphasised the central role of the Ministerial in strengthening dialogue and coordination with Washington and other allies in order to address the numerous international crises, while noting the need for Europe to assume greater responsibilities in order to contribute to collective security. The meeting will be divided into four sessions and will also see the participation of the four Indo-Pacific partner countries (Australia, South Korea, Japan and New Zealand) and the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha. The High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, will also take part in the meeting to discuss the strengthening of European defence and EU-NATO complementarity. Tomorrow in Brussels, on the sidelines of the NATO meeting, Minister Tajani will meet with the European Commissioner for Trade, Maros Sefcovic, at a time when the European Union will have to finalise its response to the US Administration's announcements on trade tariffs.
