Milan, April 2 (LaPresse) – Regarding the conviction of Marine Le Pen, French President Emmanuel Macron, speaking at the Council of Ministers, stated that "justice is independent" and that "threats made against the judges" who sentenced the far-right leader "are absolutely intolerable." This was reported by French government spokesperson Sophie Primas, cited by Bfmtv. According to what emerged, Macron also added that "judges must be protected." The spokesperson further reported that the occupant of the Élysée Palace said "everyone is entitled to a fair justice and that the law is equal for all."
