Milano, Apr 2 (LaPresse) – "The assault on the Al-Aqsa Mosque by fascist Minister Ben-Gvir this morning is a provocation and a dangerous escalation," said Hamas in a statement, referring to the far-right Israeli minister's visit to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem, known to Jews as the Temple Mount. Al Jazeera reports that Hamas further stated, "The efforts of the terrorist government led by war criminal Netanyahu aim to Judaize the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and impose a fait accompli on the holy city." Hamas added, "We call on our Palestinian people and our rebellious youth in the West Bank to intensify the situation with this arrogant enemy everywhere, in defense of our land and our sacred places." The group also urged Arab and Muslim states "to put an end to these systematic violations and take urgent measures to force the criminal occupation to end its crimes against our Palestinian people and our Islamic and Christian holy sites."
