Redmond (Washington, USA), April 5 (LaPresse) – Pro-Palestinian protesters interrupted Microsoft’s 50th anniversary celebration on Friday, the latest episode in a growing opposition to the tech industry's collaboration with the Israeli military to supply artificial intelligence technologies. The first protest occurred while Microsoft’s AI CEO, Mustafa Suleyman, was presenting updates on products and a long-term vision for the company’s AI assistant, Copilot, in front of an audience that included Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and former CEO Steve Ballmer. The incident follows a February protest that led to the expulsion of five employees from a meeting with CEO Satya Nadella. "Mustafa, shame on you," shouted Microsoft employee Ibtihal Aboussad as she approached the stage, forcing Suleyman to stop his speech.
