Milan, 8 Apr (LaPresse) – Israel's High Court of Justice has provisionally blocked the dismissal of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, saying he must remain in office until further notice, while the government and the attorney general's office try to reach an agreement on how to resolve the legal dispute over his dismissal. The court will give the government and the attorney general's office until 20 April to reach an agreement. The Times of Israel reports. The court also informed the government that it cannot take any steps to remove Bar from office while the temporary injunction is in effect, not even by declaring that it has found a replacement, and that it must not impede his authority as head of the Shin Bet, nor alter the working relationship between the government and Israel's internal security agency.
