Brussels, 11 Apr. (LaPresse) – ‘The imposition of tariffs against the EU runs counter to the political and economic logic of the deep and comprehensive Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, which is the world's largest trade agreement and is worth €1.6 trillion in 2026. For this reason, we continue to show restraint in our response. We do not want to add to the already unprecedented levels of uncertainty. We are ready to negotiate a mutually acceptable solution, while protecting our economic interests. However, all options remain on the table.’ This was stated by the European Commissioner for the Economy, Valdis Dombrovskis, at the press conference at the end of the Eurogroup meeting in Warsaw.
