This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron on social media. "Fragile because the 25% tariffs on steel, aluminum, and automobiles, and the 10% tariffs on all other products, are still in place," he added. "They represent 52 billion euros for the European Union! Fragile because this 90-day pause means 90 days of uncertainty for all our activities on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond. With the European Commission and in European unity, our goal remains simple: negotiate to eliminate these unfair tariffs and reach a balanced agreement, without asymmetries." "Together with the European Commission, we must be strong: Europe must continue to work on all necessary countermeasures and mobilize all available tools to protect itself, also to prevent flows from third countries from disrupting our market."
