Hanoi (Vietnam), April 14 (LaPresse) – "There are no winners in a trade war, nor in a tariff war." These were the words of Chinese leader Xi Jinping in an editorial jointly published by official Vietnamese and Chinese media on the occasion of a week of diplomatic meetings planned in Southeast Asia, beginning with his visit to Vietnam, in response to the tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump. "Our two countries should firmly safeguard the multilateral trading system, the stability of global industrial and supply chains, and an open and cooperative international environment," Xi Jinping added.
