Sacramento (California, USA), 16 Apr (LaPresse/AP) – California will sue to challenge the tariffs introduced by US President Donald Trump and block them. This was announced by the governor of California, Democrat Gavin Newsom, who points out that the tariffs are driving up prices and threatening jobs in the US state. The lawsuit, which will be filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, will ask that the tariffs be stopped. The lawsuit, which California is preparing to file, argues that the tycoon's use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, as well as a 10% tariff on all imports, is illegal.
