Milano, April 17 (LaPresse) – According to the Israeli army (IDF) and Shin Bet, a Hamas operative in one of the group's command centers was targeted in an airstrike in Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip. The command center was used by the operative "to plan and carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops," the army stated, as reported by the Times of Israel. The IDF added that measures were taken to mitigate civilian casualties during the attack, including the use of "precision munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence." According to Palestinian media, the target was a school run by the UN agency UNRWA, which was housing hundreds of displaced people.
