USA, Grand Jury indicts Luigi Mangione on four counts

New York (USA), 18 April (LaPresse/AP) – Luigi Mangione has been charged with federal murder for the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The indictment, issued by a grand jury in Manhattan federal court, also includes two counts of stalking and one count of possession of firearms. It is not yet clear when 26-year-old Mangione will appear in court for his arraignment. Mangione is also separately charged with murder at the state level. The man is accused of shooting Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel on 4 December as the CEO arrived for UnitedHealthcare's annual investor conference. US Attorney General Pam Bondi announced this month that she had instructed federal prosecutors in Manhattan to seek the death penalty.
