Turin, April 19 (LaPresse) – ‘Rome becomes the capital of peace and dialogue. I received the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and encouraged him to continue along the path of negotiations on the nuclear weapon. The Italian government's hope is that all together we can reach a positive solution for the Middle East'. Following his meeting yesterday with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, Tajani met with Araghchi and IEA Director General Rafael Grossi, who were in Rome to take part in the second round of talks between the US and Iran. The organisation of the second round of talks was made possible thanks to the mediation of Oman and the facilitation of the Italian government. Italy,' the Farnesina reported in a note, ’worked to facilitate dialogue between the parties in a calm and productive environment. During the meetings, Minister Tajani expressed ‘the hope that these talks can give a decisive acceleration to the contacts between the US Administration and the Iranian Government for the identification of a diplomatic solution necessary for the stability of the Middle East, and confirmed Italy's willingness to facilitate the continuation of the talks also for sessions at the technical level’.
