The organisation of the second round of talks was made possible thanks to the mediation of Oman and the facilitation of the Italian government. During the meetings, Minister Tajani expressed ‘the hope that these talks can give a decisive acceleration to the contacts between the US Administration and the Iranian Government for the identification of a diplomatic solution necessary for the stability of the Middle East, and confirmed Italy's willingness to facilitate the continuation of the talks also for sessions at the technical level’.
