Ukraine, Moscow-Kiev Prisoner Exchange: Each Side Releases 246

Milan, 19 apr. (LaPresse) – The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that Russia and Ukraine have carried out a prisoner exchange, with each side releasing 246 individuals. "On April 19, following negotiations, 246 Russian soldiers were returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime. In exchange, 246 Ukrainian military prisoners were transferred," stated the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by the Tass news agency. "Additionally, as a goodwill gesture, 31 wounded prisoners of war were transferred in exchange for 15 Russian soldiers who required urgent medical care," the ministry added. Tass specifies that the United Arab Emirates acted as mediators for the return of the Russian soldiers from captivity.
