Rome, April 20 (LaPresse) – The Trump administration has asked the Supreme Court to proceed with the deportation of Venezuelan detainees under laws different from the controversial 18th-century Alien Enemies Act, after the court yesterday halted the deportations following an appeal by the American Civil Liberties Union. This was reported by CNN. The White House stated that the individuals being deported under the law are members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, citing as evidence in court documents tattoos or clothing worn by the migrants that are associated with criminal gangs.
