Turin, April 22 (LaPresse) – British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will attend the funeral of Pope Francis this Saturday at St. Peter’s Basilica. “The Prime Minister is expected to be present,” his spokesperson told reporters during a daily briefing at Downing Street, adding that Starmer “joins millions around the world in mourning the loss of His Holiness.” The spokesperson also said: “He paid tribute to his leadership during a complex and difficult time, and I think it is appropriate, like other world leaders, that he honors his life and attends his funeral,” the BBC reports.
