Rome, April 26 (LaPresse) – Michael Alexander Gloss, a 21-year-old son of a CIA deputy director, reportedly died in eastern Ukraine in 2024 while fighting under contract for the Russian army. The Guardian reports this, citing an investigation by independent Russian media. According to an obituary published by his family, he died on April 4, 2024, in "Eastern Europe." He was the son of Juliane Gallina, who was appointed CIA Deputy Director for Digital Innovation in February 2024. "With his noble heart and warrior spirit, Michael was on his hero’s journey when he was tragically killed in Eastern Europe on April 4, 2024," his family wrote in the obituary, without mentioning Russia, Ukraine, or details about his death. On a VKontakte page attributed to Gloss, he described himself as "a supporter of a multipolar world. I ran away from home. I traveled the world. I hate fascism. I love my homeland." He had also posted images of the Russian and Palestinian flags.
