Turin, April 28 (LaPresse) – A signal regarding Ukraine's willingness to resume direct negotiations with Russia should come from Kyiv. This was stated by Russian President's spokesman Dmitry Peskov to journalists, as reported by Tass. When asked whether Russia is waiting for a signal from Washington or directly from Kyiv, Peskov responded: "From Kyiv. At least Kyiv should take some action on the matter," but "so far, we have not seen any action."
"The special military operation continues, and the United States' efforts to steer the resolution process towards a peaceful course continue," Peskov said, commenting on U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks about the need to stop the attacks between Russia and Ukraine. "The president has repeatedly confirmed Russia’s willingness to initiate the negotiation process with Ukraine without any preconditions, in order to move towards a peaceful course. The efforts continue," he added.
