Valencia (Spain), April 29 (LaPresse) – “I am sure that next spring the Hungarian people will put an end to corruption, Viktor Orbán will be gone, and Péter Magyar will be the new face of a strong and independent Hungary.” This was stated by EPP President Manfred Weber during the party’s Congress in Valencia. “On June 14, the Friday after the European elections, about 30% of Hungarians voted for a new movement, a surprise, a success: the Tisza party was born. I went to Budapest, where I met Péter Magyar, the new leader. There was no party structure; we met in a hotel, and I told Péter: the EPP is the party of the rule of law and the party of Europe. With your seven MEPs, you are welcome in the EPP family, and they joined,” he added.
