Rome, 29 Apr (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trumo plans to ease the impact of tariffs on cars by preventing duties on foreign-made cars from being added to others he has imposed and by easing some taxes on foreign components used to make cars in the United States. The Wall Street Journal writes this, citing informed sources. The decision – the same sources explain – will be retroactive. This means that car manufacturers could be reimbursed for such duties already paid. The 25% duty on finished cars produced abroad went into effect earlier this month.
