Milan, May 1 (LaPresse) – The minerals agreement signed by Kyiv with the United States "underwent significant changes during the preparation process. It is now a truly fair agreement that creates opportunities for investments in Ukraine—quite substantial ones—and also for a significant modernization of production in Ukraine and, no less importantly, of legal practices in our country." This was written by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a post on Telegram. "The agreement has been signed and will be sent for ratification to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; we intend to ensure there are no delays in its approval," Zelensky assured. "We spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump about our readiness to finalize an agreement during a meeting at the Vatican," the Ukrainian leader added, stating that "we now have the first result of that meeting at the Vatican, which makes it truly historic." "We are also looking forward to the other outcomes of our conversation," he concluded.
