Rome, May 3 (LaPresse) – Alternative for Germany (AfD) is prepared to take legal action against the decision of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), Germany's domestic intelligence agency, to officially classify the party as "far-right extremist".
According to Bild, in a 48-page warning letter from the Höcker law firm, the BfV is asked to publicly correct the classification by Monday morning at 8:00 a.m.
“If no statement is issued, we will advise our client to initiate further urgent legal proceedings before the Cologne Administrative Court,” the letter states.
