Milan, May 4 (LaPresse) – According to the first exit polls, far-right candidate George Simion is leading in the presidential elections with 30% of the vote. He is followed by Bucharest Mayor Nicușor Dan, an independent liberal-leaning candidate, and former president Crin Antonescu, the pro-European candidate supported by the ruling broad coalition composed of the Social Democratic Party (PSD, center-left), the National Liberal Party (PNL, center-right), and the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (representing the Hungarian minority). Both are polling around 23%. This was reported by the Romanian broadcaster Digi24.
