Washington, May 10 (LaPresse) – The Trump administration will welcome more than two dozen white South Africans as refugees to the United States next week. It’s an unusual move, as most refugee resettlement operations have been suspended. The first Afrikaner refugees are expected to arrive Monday at Dulles International Airport, outside Washington, on a charter flight from South Africa, and will be greeted by a government delegation. The State Department’s refugee programs have been suspended by President Donald Trump since February. However, Trump has also issued an executive order prioritizing the processing of white South Africans who claim racial discrimination in their home country.
