This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, speaking with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy. ‘Our top priority remains ending the fighting and an immediate ceasefire,’ Rubio said, according to the State Department. “With regard to India and Pakistan,” the statement continued, “the secretary and Foreign Secretary Lammy emphasised the need for both sides to maintain the ceasefire and continue to communicate.
