Rome, 17 May (LaPresse/AP) – At least seven people have died and authorities are searching for people trapped or injured after violent storms hit Missouri. The storms were part of a severe weather system that caused damage in Missouri, spawned tornadoes in Wisconsin, left thousands without power in the Great Lakes region and brought a brutal heatwave to Texas. St. Louis Mayor Cara Spencer confirmed five deaths in her city. St. Louis Fire Chief William Pollihan said three people had to be rescued after part of the church collapsed, and one of them died.
