We appreciate the support for Ukraine and the clear stance in defense of a just and lasting peace.” “Another historic moment: the first official audience granted by Pope Leo XIV to a Head of State, which took place immediately after the inaugural Mass, was with President Volodymyr Zelensky. Several topics were discussed, including an official invitation for the Holy Father to visit Ukraine,” wrote Ukrainian Ambassador to the Vatican Andrii Yurash on X.
