New York (USA), May 18 (LaPresse) – A Mexican Navy sailing ship collided with the Brooklyn Bridge in New York on Saturday night: the top of its three masts crashed into the bridge's span and partially shattered while the vessel was floating in the East River. According to New York Mayor Eric Adams, there are two confirmed deaths from the crash, and 19 people are injured. At the moment, according to the city's mayor, the iconic bridge has not sustained any damage. The Cuauhtémoc, a training ship from the naval academy, was leaving New York to continue its tour toward Iceland when it collided with the bridge, due to reasons still under investigation.
