Milan, 20 May (LaPresse) – Europe has "demonstrated that it has double standards, and this is now the opinion of the vast majority of the non-Western world. With the exception of Spain, Ireland and a few other countries, there are more critical voices within the Jewish community itself, in France for example, than in the European Union.‘ This was stated in an interview with La Repubblica by Josep Borrell, former President of the European Parliament and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs for six years. To stop the war in Gaza, ’the first condition is unity. But we have been too divided to have any real impact on this tragedy. We provided humanitarian aid when Netanyahu let us in. Others are now joining Spain and Ireland in calling for the suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement."
