Brussels, 21 May (LaPresse) – ‘The Belgian authorities have requested the waiver of parliamentary immunity for Daniel Attard, Salvatore De Meo, Fulvio Martusciello, Nicola Minchev and Giusy Princi. The request has been referred to the JURI Committee.’ This was announced by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, during the plenary session in Brussels. The reference is to the Huawei investigation opened by the Belgian federal prosecutor's office. The MEPs are Maltese socialist Daniel Attard, Bulgarian member of Renew Nikola Minchev, and Italian MEPs from Forza Italia, Salvatore De Meo, Giusi Princi, and delegation head Fulvio Martusciello.
