This was stated by US President Donald Trump in a post on Truth, saying that ‘our discussions with them are not leading anywhere. Therefore, I am recommending the introduction of a 50% tariff on the European Union starting 1 June 2025.’ "No tariff will be imposed if the product is built or manufactured in the United States.
