Washington (USA), 29 May (LaPresse) – A second federal court has blocked most of the tariffs imposed by Donald Trump, stating that the president cannot unilaterally invoke the authority to enact tariffs by declaring national emergencies over the trade deficit and fentanyl trafficking. The ruling by Federal Judge Rudolph Contreras, appointed by former President Obama and serving in the capital, comes just hours after the US Court of International Trade blocked a series of Trump tariff announcements. The administration quickly appealed both rulings.
