Rome, May 31 (LaPresse) – Hamas sources told the Al-Sharq Al-Awsat media outlet that they have delivered their response to the mediators regarding the ceasefire proposal in Gaza and the release of hostages put forward by U.S. envoy David Whitkoff. The same sources stated that Hamas’s response is generally positive, but the group has made some remarks, such as the demand that the release of hostages should occur in multiple phases. The news has also been reported by Israeli media.
