Singapore, May 31 (LaPresse) – U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue, a global security conference hosted by the International Institute for Strategic Studies in Singapore, stated that China is no longer just strengthening its military forces to conquer Taiwan, but is "actively training to do so, every day." The Chinese military "is preparing for the big event," Hegseth said. "We don't want to sugarcoat it: the threat posed by China is real. And it could be imminent."
