Cairo (Egypt), June 2 (LaPresse/AP) – Iran will soon respond to the U.S. approach, but there will be no agreement unless Tehran’s right to uranium enrichment is respected. This was stated by Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, speaking in Cairo. His comments follow the U.S. submission of a proposal to Tehran in the context of recent negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program. Araghchi said that Iran has no intention of walking away from the negotiating table, but if the U.S. tries to pressure Iran into giving up its entire nuclear program instead of cooperating to ensure guarantees of a peaceful one, the negotiations will make no progress.
