This is according to CNBC, citing a senior White House official who said the talks are expected to take place this week. The two leaders could speak “very soon”, although probably not today, the source told CNBC today. The discussion will follow a series of clashes between Washington and Beijing that threaten to derail a provisional trade agreement reached by the two economic superpowers just a few weeks ago.
